New Universal Login URLs for cPanel Concorde & Libra Servers

Earlier this year hosting accounts on Concorde and Libra cPanel servers were migrated over to new servers. The Concorde server is now called Wildcat , and the Libra server is now called Gemini .  The legacy universal CPanel and Webmail logins continued to work after this migration but have now been depreciated. The new logins for your server can be found for both CPanel and Webmail below. If you try to access CPanel or Webmail through the old logins, you will get a security warning, so you need to use the new login.  CPanel http://www.web.loungenetwork.co.nz/login-cpanel.php Webmail http://www.web.loungenetwork.co.nz/login-cpanel-webmail.php Please note that if your website is hosted with a third party and you use the Wildcat or Gemini servers for email, then depending on when you setup your account and hther you are using old legacy settings, you may also need to update your incoming and outgoing mailservers in your email client so they connect directly to the server. Libra CPanel Server Load spikes from DDoS

Our upstream providers have detected several high load spikes on on the Libra Cpanel server due to huge connections from random IP's on server which appears to be a DDoS attack, causing some websites to load slowly during these short spikes. They have  now corrected it. They have been have monitoring server for some time and the server load is normal. They will continue to monitor this and correct things should they occur. .

CPanel server upgrades and backups

Our upstream providers of our hosting server have announced that they are in the process of upgrading their fleet of servers both from a hardware standpoint, as well as software.  They are doing this in anticipation of the November 2020 Centos 6 end of life.  Please make sure to also always maintain backups of all of your data stored on the server,  to ensure safe keeping.  Our upstream providers do their best to protect it, but it's always a wise decision to have your own. As per our terms of Service, the client is required to backup the data you store on the hosting servers. This includes data such as your website files and databases and email data. In the event of data loss, clients must be in the position to restore their data from their own backups. CPanel has some built in tools that make backing up easier.  As well as regularly downloading and backing up your data from the hosting server and storing it locally,  there are also some third party ...

CPanel EXIM Vulnerabilities and Patches

Our upstream providers have been notified about some major vulnerabilities with CPanel's current version of EXIM and it can lead to exploitation for crypto attacks. As a result, they have since the 6th of June been patching all of the servers. All  shared servers are now protected.  We want to provide you with information regarding an Exim exploit that NIST has posted about today: https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2019-10149 This Exim exploit could affect any servers running cPanel & WHM versions below our latest LTS version which, as of this email is, v78.0.27. For more information about this Exim exploit, please see the link above.

End of life for RV Sitebuilder on our CPanel servers

Our upstream providers have decided to phase out RV Site builder on our servers, and we have ceased advertising it as a feature. RV Site builder is a third party sitebuilder on our CPanel web hosting plans. We they are phasing it out for a number of reasons, but mainly because it hasn't been as reliable as it should be, and it has high support costs. It has also only had very limited uptake, so there are very few websites that use it. There are also now far better CMS options out there now, such as Concrete 5, CMS Made Simple and Wordpress, which are relatively easy to setup, and can have far more features. These weren’t available or as easy to use when we first introduced RV Sitebuilder. If you are a RV site builder user, you will need to look at alternative website CMSs because although it will remain on the servers for the foreseeable future, it will eventually be removed and without notice. It is just that we will not be supporting it, and it will eve...

CPanel server hardware upgrades.

We are pleased to announce that all our CPanel servers have had their hardware upgraded over recent months, as part of our regular updating schedule. This will allow the reliability and performance of the servers to remain at their very high levels. The continued reliability of our services is very important to us, and we are pleased to be one of the most reliable and longest established hosting providers in New Zealand, now being in our 12th year of business.

Reminder of New CPanel and Webmail Login URLs

This is just a repeat announcement to one we posted back on the 15/12/2011, regarding the new URLs for accessing Webmail & Cpanel. Most of our servers now have these new logins as mandatory, so if you are having trouble logging in or getting security error messages, please make sure you are using the new logins below. This announcement ONLY applies to clients on our Premium Grade CPanel branded web hosting plans. Due to security and server upgrades mentioned in a previous announcement, clients on our CPanel plans will soon only be able to login to CPanel & Webmail through a secure login page. Therefore the old login URL you used to use will be phased out in the coming weeks. The new logins will depend on which server your website is installed on. Please check your Account information email that we initially sent you when the account was first setup, which should display the server you are on. If you don't have access to this, you can also try logging int...
