Scheduled Maintenance: Mail storage migration at Auckland Datacentre 31/07/2014

Mailserver Upgrades Dear Clients,   Our upstream providers have scheduled a maintenance window to perform mail storage migration on Thursday morning, starting at 12am. This will address mail performance on the storage servers as usage has increased. This is part of an ongoing upgrade program. Start Time: 31/07/2014 00:00 NZST End Time: 31/07/2014 03:00 NZST   During this maintenance window POP3 and IMAP will be unavailable for a small set of customers. We thank you for your understanding while this work is completed, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

New .NZ Domains Coming 30th September - New era of choice in .nz domain names

The .NZ Domain Registry has announced that from 1pm, 30 September 2014, a significantly amended .nz policy will come into effect – ushering in a new era of choice in .nz domain names. From that date, people will be able to register shorter, simpler, more representative names immediately before the .nz – as well as the more familiar-looking options like ‘.co.nz’ and ‘.org.nz’. All clients will be able to register new .nz domains through our Domain Manager system at www.domains.loungenetwork.co.nz from that date. All existing options like .co.nz, .org.nz and .govt.nz will continue to work as they always have and people will still be able to get names with them. The change simply means that from 1pm, 30 September 2014 people will be able to get names with them, without them, or both. For example, someone could get anyname.nz as well as anyname.co.nz .
